I am also willing to speak out at meetings, etc. I agree with DW.
I see that public school teachers want to play both sides of the
fiddle. They want to "protect their jobs" by hiding being the
potted plant while in the teacher's lounge acting like they are
incensed and willing to take a stand for education. Common Core and
high stakes testing requires that teachers be rendered powerless so
that the profiteers can sell out our public schools. Most teachers
fall for the brainwashing. One day, I fear our public schools will
be sold out while teachers stand on the sidelines mumbling, "....but
I think it would be good if we had a national curriculum so everyone
will be on the same page and we can get rid of the 'bad' teachers."
Please wake up people. As Benjamin Franklin said, "If we don't
stand together, we wills surely hang alone." I think the Opt Out
movement is the best step in the right direction. Get rid of Common
Core, get Gates out of the classroom, get Pearson out, give teachers
    back the right to teach.
