I have found that, in ten years, I've got lots of Tnetters to send jokes, funny pictures, and correspond with.

I've met just one Tnetter while on vacation and was in a building with another one, but couldn't find her! (Sorry Deb!)

I've found that many enjoy the same movies and TV shows that I like, miss their parents like I do, got good advice on how to deal with my students and family.

I've gotten great links to neat teacher sites that have helped me out a lot.

When I got assigned to K-8 art, Mizletts' site saved my rear when I frequented her art site and the kids loved her ideas for projects.

I've passed on most of the Ole and Sven jokes to my fiancé, and his mom, a 90 yr old Swede, loves them!

I've found that you have to word your post totally clear or someone is going to attack you and hang you out to dry. I used to think that we all pretty much understood each other, but man, was I wrong.

I've found that many enjoy the same movies and TV shows that I like, miss their parents like I do, got good advice on how to deal with my students and family.

Because of this board…

  • I have nice, clean tile due to Oxyclean
  • I have nice, clean everything else due to Magic Erasers
  • I figured out how to use my iPod
  • I found dozens of great books to read
  • I discovered Celtic Women
  • I learned about the fourth wall
  • I learned ways to support new teachers
  • I received vacation suggestions
  • and on and on and on and on...
I've been understood, misunderstood, flamed, and consoled.

I can add this: I teach an older elementary grade, and I always thought I could never go down to 1st or 2nd grade because I don't know that much about those grades. However, now that I know more about this board, I know that I could get help here...fast!

I've posted questions here and gotten great answers...very fast. I am amazed at the generosity of the people here to share their ideas so freely.

I learned about FlyLady here, and Magic Eraser and using plastic sheet protectors with cardstock sheets in them for individual dry-erase boards and to use socks or dryer sheets as erasers for them.

And tech answers to my problems and tech tips galore.

LOTS of wonderful web sites to visit.

I've met terrific people (IRL) from this board.

I've been understood, misunderstood, flamed, and consoled.

I've learned to save Sweathog's Discipline Plan where I can find it.

I've had great books recommended to me.

I've shared recipes - and if you haven't tried Chloe's "Sounds Awful Dip" – you simply MUST!

I get my questions answered - in a flash! Love the traffic here.

I found the bubble game here - and passed it on to others who alternately thank and curse me for sharing it!
