    I would never advise anyone to go into
    f/t teaching now. The atmosphere is
    super politicized and all problems are
    the teachers fault(not). Kids bring
    challenges and problems to school in
    masses..virtually unheard of just
    twenty years ago. The structure is set
    up for almost no one to gain tenure, so
    thereby allowing for a perpetually
    revolving door of young or new
    teachers..there will be many fewer
    teacher pensions as most teachers will
    not last the ten or more years. It's
    sad..and is getting worse. If you don't
    believe me..go for it..but have a second
    career in mind. V.
