Is there a forum somewhere online that lists every NYC
school and has comments from subs who have worked there
about their experiences? It would be great if subs could
share info with each other as to what schools to avoid.
Principals get to share information about subs in the DOE
computer file system, so why not the other way around too?
Some schools expect subs to work miracles--and some even go
beyond being un-supportive to actually putting subs in
potentially dangerous situations where they are forced to
risk personal injury and also potential loss of employment
when miracles are not performed (like sending a sub into a
very large classroom alone with 80 middle school students).
