i retired a couple of years ago, and was hoping that Cscope had
finally died a miserable death. Of course, we all know that
there will be, with the death of one horrible idea, yet another
horrible idea to take its place---and common core has been
lurking at the Texas door for several years. I fear that it will be
even more detrimental to Texas students and teachers than the
bad joke that Cscope was. Nothing did more in my 30+ years
of teaching to hurt education in Texas than Cscope, and from
what I've seen of Common Core, it may ring the death knoll for
any hope of our kids getting a good education.
