    Hello,
I have used SUTW in kindergarten, 1st and 4th grades and I
think it is great. I am currently in 1st grade and we model
the writing format verbally when we do sharing. For example, a
child might say, "This is my cat named Paws. I like it for
many reasons. First, it is soft. I like to pet it. Second,
it is fun to play with. I can throw it up in the air. Third,
it is special because my mom got it for me. I love my cat!" I
have 4 kids share each day, so we hear it a lot. It has
transfered into their writing as well.
    I hope that helps!
