Hello all! I am a preschool teacher in Utah. I am also a video creator that is making videos for children to teach them how to read (The Crazy Glove Lady). My question is this: Do you use videos in the classroom to reinforce phonics, and if so, how long would you say the perfect video would be? I just uploaded my first video as a "test", and will be taken down and replaced- because I am still learning video, film editing, audio. This was my first attempt at this- and am going to make them shorter (the first one was 15 minutes long) and fix a LOT of things to make them more streamlined. So first things first: Do you think 3 minutes? 5 minutes? or longer would be appropriate in the classroom? Thank you so much for your input, I really am appreciative of your time!
