I read somewhere that each year I need to update info. Does anyone know what this is for DODEA?
Icanread You need to post on the teachers.net DOD board. It's a pretty active board. Yes, you need to update your application every year to be considered.

If you are a teacher, there is an ebook coming out within these next couple of weeks that will tell you exactly how to do this!
Icanread Was this book released? If so, where?

I would like to know good and reliable internet sites where I can apply to teach abroad. If you have experiences with them better.

Joy Did you pay for everything like airplane tickets and
moving expenses. I imagine the applicant has to pay for
    all that right?

haha Most schools pay for flights and visas for the entire family and your return at the end of your contract (which is why larger families for one teacher can be more expensive for the school). Some of the lower tier schools will only want to pay for your visa and travel. Some of the better ones will pay for visa and tickets and a shipping allowance an...See More

Hey everyone! First time posting here but very excited. I recently got a job offer abroad and honestly never thought I’d actually take it, but in a big turn of events I did! I moved to London two weeks ago after living and teaching in California most of my life. I’m a bit nervous I must confess. Starting in a new school in the middle of Novembe...See More
haha Hi. This board is generally pretty dead. You are better off checking out more active forums like International School Review and TES (UK based).

You are there so you must have figured out a lot of things already (and London is amazing. Some people do the int'l circuit for a few years and then go back to their home country while others make...See More

Is the DODEA still hiring for the new school year? My husband and I applied back in October. My husband and I have both received one referral for the same job, but no interview. Is it still a possibility to be hired for 16-17? Thanks!
Dee Yes, it's possible to be hired at any time during the school year. Good luck! On 7/27/16, Curious wrote: > Is the DODEA still hiring for the new school year? What kind of cars are in the teachers' parking lot at your school? I can always tell the commitment of the staff to their students by the makes and models of cars in the parking lot.

OK - the Aramco conversation has me thinking. If given the choice which would people choose and why? I am leaning toward ARAMCO for the salary. Thoughts?

In Dodea That must be nice to be in a good DoDDS location. Many of us are stuck on hardship tours due to the death of the transfer program.

haha No offense but if you have very little money left over with two of you teaching for DoDDS then you should seek financial counseling (or you must have a mortgage etc somewhere).

Even with credit card debt and student loans we are able to live very well, do some traveling and bank money every month.

If all you care about is money th...See More
