Have mini lessons related to the management of your Writer's
Workshop. And have discussions (following your Writer's
Workshop) about how things went; what worked well, what
didn't and what everyone should try the next day. Discuss
and post the behaviors that will provide everyone with a
productive writing environment. It's all about establishing
routines, practicing routines and talking about the
    effectiveness of the routines.
Writing Workshops are a challenge, but once it's rolling
smoothly (usually 2-3 months) there's nothing like it. Kids
reading, writing, and conferring like real authors. Don't
    give up:)
