Post: ASL Instructor Position Needed Fall 2009
June, 2009
To High School/Colleges Seeking ASL Instructors for Fall 2009:
I have two years teaching ASL I and II at Northern VA.
Community College- Annandale and Montgomery College-
Rockville, MD using mostly the Signing Naturally curriculum,
with enthusiastic evaluations from students. I've also
substituted for instructors at other levels, and am
interested in community and workforce/first responder ASL
Language Training.
Related experience includes several years as a Teacher of
the Deaf, with two years at the Florida School for the Deaf,
substitute teaching and summer school teaching pre-K to 12.
I completed my doctorate at the University of
Maryland-College Park (2003) in Education Policy and
Leadership with a focus on Curriculum. Administrative
experience included working with the Montgomery County, MD.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program.
I enjoy teaching ASL, but I am trying to get out of the p/t
adjunct cycle and obtain a full-time job or contractor
position working for several schools within a district or
several area school districts (K-12) or with higher education.
This is for Fall 2009; I'm prepared to move for job with the
best match. Resume, references, transcripts and so forth
sent upon request. Interviews can be conducted via
videophone and/or in-person interviews.
I look forward to hearing from you.Thank you for your
consideration.
Sincerely,
Anne Gray Liversidge, M.Ed., Ph.D.
