Hi, Chad,
They will send you a medical form that the doctor fills out
when you get the physical. It is just a very routine
exam....blood pressure, eyesight, check your weight,
height...it is nothing to worry about:)
I would wait to hear from HQ before sending them
transcripts. WARNING: HQ is notorious for losing and
misplacing documents, but especially transcripts. Make
sure you have several official copies of your transcripts.
It is also a good idea to keep any syllabi you may have
for your coursework or the college catalog that has course
descriptions. You might need this one day to show to HQ!
The question about state certification is a tricky one.
People have different experiences with that. DoDDS can
hire you based on state certification, but they may or may
not require to get credit hours before issuing you the
Professional Teaching License after two years. Honestly,
most DoDDS teachers are always taking classes online or
over the summer to move along the salary schedule or just
to add more certification fields.
