Re: Getting Hired
I checked the courses listed under Social Studies and Anthropology is
one of them in addition to many world history and culture classes
(which is what I would like to teach). I attend school in Nevada at
the university in Reno and have also studied abroad in Germany.
Currently I am living in Nevada working on my Master's in Education.
I have taken plenty of courses in Social Studies, Anthropology and
History. Once I have my M.Ed I should have about a total of 170
credits from UNR.
I would assume that having a Master's Degree would help me get hired
over someone with just a Bachelor's...but I'm not sure. Does anyone
know how often teaching positions come available?
I'm open to go anywhere, but Europe would be a dream. How long does
the application and hiring process usually take? And do most US based
candidates get moving paid for? What about paid housing? Where do DOD
teachers usually live?
I really appreciate everyone's input. Thanks!
