I haven't received too many answers yet so I wanted to reach out to you guys since it seems a lot of you have a lot of knowledge about the process. I recently accepted a position and wanted to know if there's anyone to reach out to about housing, etc. Basically anything I can find out about moving down there. I've already been doing research for awhile since I am awaiting the background check. I really liked Richmond Hill. I have a family so I want to be ready to move soon. Do any of you know if they give any type of resources (moving allowance, guidance, etc.) to help the transition from out of state?
kgteach Hi, the district area where I will be working is a 4 hour drive from my current residence. I got an offer in the Americas Southeast District. My formal offer letter stated that relocation costs will not be funded by DODEA. Richmond Hill is a very nice area. You should also look in the Savannah area as well.
