If you don't mind me asking, for how long have you been wainting by now to get cleared? Does it matter in what state you are doing the background check? How will you get notified when completed?

@Sunny my process started in July. My clearance just happened a few weeks ago. I was notified by a phone call

@Insight Thanks for the info. I thought you were still waiting for the clearance. How long it takes to receive the travel orders after the clearance goes through? What did you decide for yourself?

You have to work a minimum of 175 school days to qualify for a full year of employment and get the free RAT ride home. That happened to us transferring from DDESS to DODDS, so we had to wait another year to qualify.
