Hello,

Some of you may already know this, but we rented a very small storage unit for some personal items: piano, boxes and boxes of pictures, photo albums, sentimental keepsakes.

Well, I was talking to my friend today who has been with DoDEA for 8 years, and he let me know that the military stores our stuff for us.

The only issue is you won't have access to your stored items till you leave employment, I think.

Just an FYI for those of you who did not know.

We have a very large, beautiful king bedroom set with high posts we were thinking of selling because our new place will probably be small. Now, we know it can be stored for us.
TeacherMama K in Daegu I had heard that too. however, i heard it was not climate controlled. So things that could be damaged by high heat or cold may not do well. We are planning on storing our patio furniture and lawn stuff.

SandArt Yes, on it not being climate controlled. We plan to keep our small storage unit because I think the piano needs a climate controlled environment, but I am fine with one of our dining tables being n the heat. It's solid oak. Not sure yet. HelpOthers Most DoDDS teachers that have been around a long time discourage the use of the storage unit, because after several years, most items are too damaged to use.
