Re: Anyone teaching in Europe? Willing to answer questions?
Posted by Val on 7/29/08
I will be going to Heidelberg,Germany. I have been tentively
assigned to Patch Elementary School as a inclusion Special
Education teacher. I havent taught in the states since 2001. I
held an admin position in Special Education. I missed the
classroom and vowed Id go back if the right situation presented
itsself. Well, 2 weeks ago it did. Everything is happening so
fast-Im not sure which way is up! The only advice I can give about
actually being offered a job( it took about 2 months after I
applied to get an offer) is to go for certification in a shortage
area. They are really good about going through your transcript
and making you eligible based on course work. Be persistent and
do lots of praying for patience and steadfastness.Keep in touch!
