Scroll up. There are a number of articles on the board about
legal rulings against Pearson for their various foul ups over the
years.
In the case of botched NCTE scoring, though, it seems like the
national board would be more to blame than Pearson. The board
rakes in plenty of money. They have no business outsourcing the
assessments to Pearson or anybody else. They should hire real,
full-time educators to give everybody's entries the attention
they deserve, and that applicants PAY FOR, instead of trying to
do everything on the cheap.
Just watch. They'll wind up with the exact reputation they
deserve, and then they'll fold for good. In 25 years, nobody's
going to remember what "NBPTS" ever stood for.
