May daughter, normally an excellent student, came home crying
in 8th grade because she had made all=region choir but was
not allowed to participate because she had failed math. She
tried to blame it on a lousy teacher. Her teacher, a math
genious, really did not know how to teach non=genious
teachers. But I did not let her get away with that. It is
is not the teacher who will miss opportunities because you
didn't learn, but you. Therefore it is your responsibility
to learn the material, in any way you can. Ask her for
help, ask other teachers, ask your friends, but you have to
be responsible for your own education. She has had good
