Teaching Jobs on Teachers.Net

I got my credential in 2003 but have not worked in the classroom for 4 years now. I am getting ready to go back and search a a job, but I have heard that the CSET doesn't affect you for hiring purposes. Anyone know if this is true? Also if there is anyone who has taken the CSET, how did you study? Can you recommend any study guides or prep courses? Thanks so much Rachel
You'll be competing with applicants who have passed it Whether that matters will depend on the school district. If you're highly qualified by some other avenue (e.g., a bachelor's degree in the subject you plan to teach), it may not make a difference.
