I totally agree! I too have notice the same development in my school. The
lay-off of the good and “caring” teachers who dared to do the correct
thing the students needed. I am now left alone with the 7 students with
severe disabilities, mental retardation and and I am deeply troubled and
over-whelmed by the responsibilities without any support from any side.
Sometimes I have the feeling NCLB is an attack on the American society by
the far religious right to dumb down our Children andget rid of the
progressive, "liberal" and caring teachers. As these are the things
happening not alone in my School and Yours. But all around Schools across
the U.S.
