Colleges and business owners are tired of of the high school diploma not meaning anything. All students learning the same material at the same time is still expected by my state dept whether NCLB exists or not. You can't blame that on NCLB. Actually, if a student fails the state test, the school is required to give him remediation. This can be done with double blocking. I agree that not everyone needs to be taking Alg II. But again, that is the state dept making that decision, not NCLB. > What happened to freedom of choice? ...
