    Back to the question asked I will delete tests on occasions. If the child
    took the test last year, and got 60 or below they obviously were not
    seccessful. If they reread the book - it often means they do not even
    remember they "read" the book in third grade. If they come to me confused
    about why they can't take the test, I'll check to discover why, and if it
    was as stated previously I discuss with them the situtation stressing the
    point of having read it more carefully this time and allow them to retake
    the test. They always do better than the first time and hopefully I am
    reinforcing the positive skills they used this time they read the book.
