I wish that I had read this book several years ago, when I last returned to college to pursue education. Then, I wish I would have had his backing when it was decided that I didn't have the right stuff & that I might cry in front of children. I have grown up in a predominately white middle- class small town & have traveled the world. I had just traveled to NYC & wrote about that in my personal memoir, which I submitted to a pre-education class, which describes my realization of race differences. It earned me an A+. I had began teaching as a substitute. I would have given my heart & soul, if I was allowed to become a teacher. Then, maybe I just need to stay retired. I hope that not all potential whistle-blowers have their vocations ended as quickly & permanently as mine. I do know myself & my life story. I know my errors & those of others. I may never be a published writer or be able to go back to college, for music this time, but my heart & soul does sing of the truth! I do have a M. S. in Earth Science.
