Post: whistle blower law?

Posted by teacher on 12/27/07

I'm trying to understand the whole process of how the
    whistle blower law works:

If there is a correlation between the harassment and the
retaliation, and it can be proven with witnesses and
documentation, etc., does one go out andget a lawyer (the
union rep. and the regional rep are useless)? How does this
    work?

If the case is proven, what is the end result? What happens
to the person accused of the retaliation and the person
    filing the claim?

Has anyone ever utilized this law?
