I think a lack of writing ability is a common occurance in
distance education classes and face-to-face for that
matter. I teach "teachers to be", and at least one-fourth
of my students can't write a proper sentence. This is
especially true in community colleges where students have
been out of school for a number of years. They generally
take a "bare bones" English, math, and writing class then
begin the process. Anyone agree?
