Post: Teaching the GED Program
For over 10 years I've been trying to land a part-time job
as a GED Teacher but to no avail. When I call the NYC
Department of Education requesting information, no one has
any answers for me. I don't know what to do. A GED Teacher
prepares adult learners and/or high school drop outs for
the GED exam. The GED is a test for those who never
completed high school and want a second chance at life.
Does anyone where where I can apply for such jobs? Also,
what are the basic requirements to becoming a GED Teacher?
My Educational Background:
B.A. Sociology
A.A. Liberal Arts and Sciences
