Re: students rating teachers, by name, online - better idea

I totally agree. As a hard-working graduate teaching assistant who is frequently "slammed" on end-of-the-semester evaluations for being too "hard" or "unfair" in my grading (I'm one of the few members of my faculty who actually abides by our new "no grade inflation policy"), it's just adding insult to injury to have these same lazy slackers post their bile for the rest of the world to see, thereby potentially ruining my chance for a rapport with future classes. You know why someone doesn't set up a "ratemystudents.com?" It's very simple: it's acceptable to blame us teachers for everything, while the students (hungover, unmotivated, stoned, lazy, and with a sense of entitlement as big as Montana in many cases) can't be held accountable for anything.
