    Re: Going wireless at home?
    Posted by len on 8/02/08

    It's pretty easy.

Basically you plug in the router to both the outlet and your
    network.

You will want to look at the directions in the manual to
    configure the security.

Linksys lets you do it from your web-browser. It will tell to
the IP address (this is a bunch of numbers like 123.12.12.001)
of your router. You type that in were you would normally type
    http://www.fun-science-project-ideas.com.

You log in, the manual will tell you the username and password,
but they may both be "admin."

Once there you will want to set up security for the wireless
network. Don't let the different choices intimidate you. Any
of them should be fine for your purposes. Be sure to write down
the password. The first time, you logon to your home wireless
network, your computer will ask you for it. Tell your computer
to remember it, and this will save you from having to reenter it
    every time.

You will also want to change the login information from
admin/admin to something that is a little harder to crack.
