Installing with old (ancient) registration numbers

Help me figure out how to install Adobe photoshop Elements 2002 and Rosetta Stone 2008. I keep getting invalid number errors. Went to their web sites but couldn't find any help.

Any ideas or ways around this snag.

Neal - (m) Letter I or numeral 1? can't think of any others right off hand.

I did that. Caps lock is off too. Do registration numbers expire? I can't tell if the activation is trying to contact the company for something. Seems unreasonable that I couldn't install a program on another machine if the first computer dies or something.
