Hi Alex.
I've only just picked up this message and I'm not even sure if it's for
me but yes, hypnosis can help you lose weight if that’s what you really
want to do. But no one can be hypnotised to do anything which their
subconscious does not think would be good for them. I'm talking
about suggestions given during hypnosis.
If both you and your subconscious (which is our over riding master at
the end of the day) want to lose weight hypnosis can e used to insert
hidden triggers which will slow down your eating habits and just as
importantly, make sure you don’t over eat fattening food.
But usually we have to find the reason for you over eating in the first
place. This is where hypnotherapy comes in, i.e. the therapist getting
i touch wit your subconscious (in a limited yes/no kind of way) to find
out why you are over eating and try to work out other strategies to
compensate for that strategy should it decide to release you from it.
The really good therapist will combine some NLP (Neuro Linguistic
Programming) with the hypnosis to effect a long term change to your
eating habits.
So, in short, yes is the answer to your question Alex. NLP on its own
will also work. But make sure you find a good therapist. There are a
lot of amateurs out there.
