Re: That's called supply and demand
Posted by Missing MI on 1/13/08

Ok, so you are right. There are NOT teacher shortages where
teachers have great pay and great insurance. But GA needs
teachers! Funny when I took my leave of absence from a MI
school, the HR Director said I couldn't get another comparable
teaching job. She said unless you are going to GA where they
pay peanuts. I just laughed to myself because that's where I
was moving and she didn't even know it! Luckily for me I have a
3 year leave of absence, so I can go back to my great paying job
if it doesn't work out for my husband's career down here!! If
you want to teach, there is a job out there. But yes, it
probably won't be in a high paying district with great insurance.
