That the states even have the audacity to hire teachers from other countries or entice people into the profession through alternate routes is just ridiculous, since there are thousands of qualified and certified teacher-wanna-be's in each state who can't even get a nibble of a response about their applications. Why aren't schools required to hire from the American pool already here that is ready, willing, and able?! Non-teachers or teachers from other countries that are hired every so often are just mirror and smokescreens to keep people enrolling in the colleges. "There must be a shortage. Lazarophi got hired from Planet X and she speaks broken English." The states want to keep those teacher programs active and students' money coming in. It's all about the tuition money.
