I really DISLIKED this book....(more) The "girl" in the title is a very interesting character, but the story bogs down and is dull, dull and more dull. The big "mystery disappearance" dragged on and on.

Am. Lit. Teacher I can't say I really disliked the book, but it did get bogged down. I think my biggest issue was all the Swedish names and political mentions. I don't know anything about Sweden and so I was somewhat out of the loop. Also, there was a lot of sex and gore in this book, more than my puritanical American mind cared for. Janet Blanton I am a 7th grade teacher and most of my kids have been begging for us to read a new novle. Some students have sugested this book is it okay to read as a class with 7th grades? I have been meaning to take a look at this book but i realy never had the time. Thanks, Mrs. J Blanton
