Waters: "Favorites"--very good story about a Japanese
family, very interesting study of the culture

Bradley: "Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie"--someone on
Teachers.net suggested this one. Such a sweet clever teen
detective . . . I just couldn't stop reading this.

Trigiani: "Very Valentine" Think "Big Stone Gap" in
Manhattan. A very predictable sweet story that is the first
of a trilogy.
