I saw a reference to graphic novels on one of the
chatboards and it peaked my interest. I went to the
bookstore last evening and purchased The Knights of the
Lunch Table. It's a funny little book and I can see it
appealing to some of my reluctant readers. It's the story
of a boy who is a new kid at school. Since I was planning
on doing literature circles with a "new kid" theme it fit
right in with the other novels I have selected for various
ability levels. I'd love to hear of any other good
graphic novels (besides the Diary of the Wimpy Kid). Pros
and cons on classroom use.
