I know this board is about character (using good judgement, etc.) I'm taking a different spin: how do you teach character/problem/setting/etc in stories for the youngest learners? I made simple cards with the words (and simple pics) and hold them up as we discuss the various elements after they've heard a fiction story. I figure seeing the word/pic everytime we discuss "character," "setting," etc may help them ingrain the concept. What other ideas are floating out there that are better than mine?
