My friend did this in her classroom a couple years ago. Her
library corner was labeled "Beachy Reading" she had a large
beach umbrella, beach chairs, and straw mats for the kids to lay
on. She had two large palm trees in the corners, decorated with
clear lights. We had very high bulletin boards, so across the
top, she decorated with grass table skirts. She also used leis
around the room in various ways. Her tables were labeled with
beach cut outs (surfboard, sailboat, fish, and sandal)
