    Try some kind of reward system, draw a smile face on their
    hand or a sticker, or make a sticker chart and hang it in the
    bathroom give him a sticker to put on the chart every time he
    goes.

    3's are usually ready, but the parents need to bring in about
    5 pair of underwear and change of clothes/pants. I personally
    do not believe in pull-ups. I feel the child needs to feel
    the wetness and not like it to encourage them to stay dry and
    go in the toilet instead
