appreciate your help. Thank You very much. I dint know any
teachers here that could have helped me with this questionaire
so i do really want to Thank You. Here are the questions.Sheet
Teacher Interview
Kindergarten, Primary-Grades, or Intermediate-Grades Teacher
To begin your interview, ask such introductory questions as:
What ages of children do you work with?
What are the demographics of the children and families
with whom you work?
How long have you been working with children?
What do you enjoy most about your work?
Why did you choose to go into this field?
What do you hope to accomplish as a teacher?
Then, engage in a discussion that will enable you to increase
your knowledge about education, teaching, and the field that the
teacher is involved in; consider your own
assumptions/misconceptions; think about similarities and
differences between what you have read in the Learning Resources
and what this teacher shares; and gain additional insights.
Following are some questions to spark your conversation:
What do you believe are the essential components of
quality education at the grade level that you teach?
Describe an ideal learning environment or learning
experience for children at the grade level that you teach.
In what ways do you believe that families should be
involved in their childrens education and why?
What advice do you have for people who are new to
working with children and their families?
What do you wish that you learned while you were
preparing to work with children and families?
How do you keep current on the latest research and
thinking in your field?
Do you have any books, resources, and/or professional
organizations that you can recommend?
What is the most valuable lesson that you have learned
about working with young children and their families so far in
your career?
Who is the person in your field who you most admire, and
why?
