As a music teacher, I am used to playing games with my students. We play circle games, singing games, games with instruments, etc. However, this year I had to branch out in a different manner. Our school's math scores weren't where they needed to be, so it was decided that all teachers would take a small group for math, and that included all related arts teachers. WHAAAATT???? I thought. Math is certainly not my strongest subject, which is I'm not a regular classroom teacher. I figured if I wanted to do that, I would've trained for it. So, to say that I was very unenthused was a major understatement! We were supposed to be "trained"......haha! Everything I taught I learned on my own. I spent a lot of time online looking for games and things to use on my Promethean Board. I played plenty of card games to reinforce addition, subtraction and multiplication.
