general help for creating a website?

Our district required every teacher to create a classroom website. While I usually have great things to say about my district, the website issue was frustrating. We were given minimal directions for creating it; just that it had to be done. Is there a place out there to provide general tips, guidelines, and ideas for classroom websites? My intent at this point is to have a site that parents of my students will find handy; it's OK if it's not the best site out there. Many thanks. (My site is up and running; it just lacks in many things.)

centexpk sorry...this really isn't help or an answer to your question, but i did want to share.

our district doesn't require us to create a classroom website, but each teacher in the district has their own webpage on echalk that we are supposed to update at the end of each week..however, there are those who have never even posted anything on the pa...See More
