I have gone to the principal. As a new teacher, I was reluctant to do
so. I didn't want it to look like I couldn't handle my classroom.
And just so you know, I used to do network admin (15 years ago), so
I'm reasonably computer savvy.
Before I went to administration, I tried to find solutions. There are
no passwords for the students. Too much work, I guess.
I have tried floppy drives, they don't work. I had the kids put
passwords on their documents, but the folders were getting deleted or
moved. Emailing the files: they're too big. We are forbidden to use
flash drives. I guess I could print out everything the kids do, but
that is a waste of paper and ink.
i was advised to keep my mouth shut about the computers or else I
would be considered a troublemaker.
I am now going to see if I can learn googledocs and save their work
Any other ideas?
