Due to state budget cuts our district eliminated all dept chair positions! It will be interesting to see the principal do it all next year.

alice Our principal is okay, but not great. He has made some improvements in our school, but I don't feel like he is a strong leader all the time.

MaryB Our middle school has two teams per grade. (We went from 3 teams each grade down to 2 two years ago with lower enrollment). I'm on 6 purple, although I (ESL) teach 6th-8th each period. There is a team leader for each team. Each team has their own rules, policies, incentives, so it's hard for me to keep up with what my combined grade students are up...See More

janel We have 13 in the math dept and the chair was in charge of submitting budget and materials requests, as well as helping with scheduling students, writing curriculum and scheduling math remediation. Chair was paid a $1200 stipend and had duty free planning.
