Re: Speed Grading/ how does one get online jobs?
Posted by rw on 1/20/08

Oh, and from what I've been hearing the average trajectory is to
apply to 50-60 places, wait 3-9 months to start hearing back,
and get hired by 1 or 2. Teach there for awhile, then apply at
more places if you want more work.

Some people claim to make $70-80K or more, but they "teach"
something about 10 classes a semester/quarter at three or four
different universities. They claim they have learned to do it
really quickly, but I can't imagine they really give the
students much in the way of individualized feedback or do much
    to fine-tune the courses.

One woman claims to teach about 10 a semester AND hold down a
second full-time job. I feel bad for her students... or her family!
