It's true, Bush did not that we were under attack. It's also
true, Bush did not know that we were not under a far more
serious attack. Seven minutes in a nuclear ICBM attack is a
third of the time you have to react and order a counter
measures.
Bush wilted under pressure, and there is no talking his way out
of that.
Both Bush and Kerry have been tested in moments of crisis when
they could not ask others for advice -- actions had to be
their's then and there. Bush on 9/11 and Kerry on a swift boat
in the Nam. Bush wilted, while Kerry manifested true heroic
presence of mind.
As Bush said in a recent speech, America can not survive a
president who "wilts" under fire.
