I've just done a diseration on it for my psychology MSc. The
show seems to be trashy entertainment verging on the point
of abuse to some of the people in it. This would never be
allowed by any offical body because of the potential damaage
it could do (and it turns out that it did to a lot of damage
to some of the people on their.). Its not a proper
experiement and nothing serious can be learned from it, just
trashy telly at its worst.
