Re: New Board for teachers of Native Speakers![]()

Hi everyone,
I teach Spanish for Native speakers I and I'm facing the same
dilemma, so I decided to teach what I believe is better for my
students.
First of all I start the class everyday with a prompt, the kids
MUST write in Spanish a couple of paragraphs about it, then they
are randomly selected to read aloud. This way they practice
writing, reading, listening and speaking.
In addition, I use the book Español Practico to teach them
gramática (you can use whatever grammar book you like). They need
to know at least the basics: Punctuation, spelling, use of capital
letters, present, preterite, future, subjunctive, conditional, etc.
Then, I introduce them to literature, reading and comprehension
through Sendas Literarias.
Finally, I also teach culture through projects about different
Spanish speaking countries, famous Hispanics, Hispanic holidays,
traditions and folclore.
If anybody can tell me about a good grammar book or any idea that
might help, that would be very appreciated.
Best regards,
Icela
