These are tough times for everybody, but schools seem to be
especially hard hit with budget cuts. I'd like to see a
chatboard where we can share ideas of ways to save money in
the classroom, and maybe even some tips about how to
economize at home.
I created The Imagination Factory after my principal cut my
budget from $1,000 to $250 for the second semester. Making
art out of items most people throw away is not a new idea.
However, the site has an environmental message, too, and
it's organized in a way that makes it easy to find art
activities based on the materials you have.
