Our grades 3-5 teachers are all using these open ended math
journal tasks once a week this year. We always end the session
with a share time to talk about the different strategies used
to solve problems. I have noticed a real improvement in my
students' ability to explain their thinking and they really
enjoy doing them which is a bonus!
