I took French quite a long time ago. We used a book called Ecouter et parler. Whenever the teacher used the tapes, there would be some French music on it. There was one song that we all really liked and wanted to know the title of. It as a song played on the accordion, and our teacher said that it was about a soldier. That's all she could tell us. Would anyone possibly know the title?

Merci beaucoup!
diana Do you know if it was from France or French Canadian? Was it a quiet tune or bouncy tune? I have several CDs of French song at school and can check, but the first one that came to mind was a Canadian Folksong called "Un Canadien Errant". One recorded version of it was by Ian and Sylvia. Nick Hi, Diana:

Thanks for responding to my post. If I'm not mistaken, it was a French song from France because all of the voices on the tape came from France, and the Parisian accent was used througout the series.

The song was a bouncy song played on the accordion. It had that great typical French sound to it.

Thanks,
